Certificate IV in Project Management BSB41504Project Management is a mainstay of modern organisations across all industry sectors having evolved from its traditional roots in the construction, IT and heavy engineering industries. Project Management through its association with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) standards, provides a global framework in which all project managers have a common understanding of the terms used and the methodologies employed. AIM has developed a comprehensive suite of courses at Certificate IV and Diploma level that allows project practitioners to improve their skills and knowledge and gain accreditation in a nationally recognised qualification. Recommended forThe Certificate IV in Project Management is a qualification for those people working on or around projects that apply their skills to complete project tasks rather than ‘manage' a project. This qualification is an ideal entry point for those people requiring formal project management qualifications. Learning Outcomes
Learning Time PeriodThe Certificate IV in Project Management qualification must be completed within two (2) years of commencement. AssessmentAssessment for this qualification includes underpinning knowledge questions, work-based projects and third party reports. Requirements to Receive the Certificate IV in Project ManagementThis qualification requires the successful completion of the 8 Units of Competency listed below. There are no Electives for the Certificate IV in Project Management. The AIM course Project Management - Scope, Time, Quality and Cost Management should be completed before the other units.

Upgrade from Certificate IV to Diploma of Project ManagementThis Certificate IV structure above provides a clear pathway for participants to upgrade their Certificate IV qualification to a Diploma. Most of the learning will have already been completed – with a small number of additional training days, combined with additional assessment tasks, you will be able to complete your Diploma of Project Management. The Project Management Functional Overview course provides a refresher of the theory based material that you would have covered in your Certificate IV program. Project Management Integration then provides you with the final stage in your learning to complete your Diploma of Project Management. As part of completing these courses, we will provide you with an assessment kit to be completed and submitted to AIM for assessment. The Diploma Upgrade Assessment kit requires you to demonstrate your competency at Level 5 for all units of the Diploma program.
