  • Develop and implement remuneration strategies and understand relevant legislative requirements
  • Develop employee remuneration and employee benefits through consultation
  • Research, analyse and evaluate work/life programs
  • Identify, investigate and evaluate marketing opportunities
  • Evaluate the significance of each component of the marketing mix and their inter-relationships
  • Determine and develop a market positioning strategy
  • Assess the influences of the target market on customer behaviour
  • Develop a framework for a marketing plan
  • Monitor and review marketing performance
  • Use, manage the use of and review management information systems
  • Describe the different stages of a project and the management responsibilities of those who manage projects
  • Understand the importance of planning and control and their implications for project management
  • Understand the importance to the organisation of developing a risk management plan which incorporates the policies and procedures for managing risk
  • Plan and prioritise work tasks and apply time management techniques

Learning Time Period

This qualification must be completed within 2 years of commencement.

Assessment

Assessment for this qualification includes underpinning knowledge questions, work-based projects and third party reports.

Requirements to receive the Diploma of Business

This qualification requires the successful completion of 8 units of competency. No more than 3 units of competency can be selected from any one area listed below.
