Strategic Business Planning

Overview

This highly practical and interactive program will provide participants with a clear framework to prepare a successful strategic plan and business plan, tailored to the needs of their organisation or business unit.

The program examines the key strategic business areas that a successful plan must consider, including core values, purpose, and mission statements. In addition, participants will gain insights into competitive strategies, value chains and life cycles, and come away from the program with a greater facility to understand how their organisations really work. It is advisable that participants wishing to undertake the assessment ensure that they have access to the financial records and business plans for their business in order to complete the assessment.

  • Articulate the aims, objectives and key aspects of a strategic plan and a business plan, which takes account of the organisational Vision and mission
  • Develop a strategic plan and a business plan based on the strategic plan
  • Implement the strategic and business plans
  • Monitor the success of the strategic and business plans and respond to performance

This is a Specialist unit within the Advanced Diploma of Business Man¬agement and may be undertaken as an Elective for other qualifications within the Business Services Training Package
