Australian First in Change Management

AIM has secured scope to deliver Australia’s first Diploma of Organisational Change Management.

The Diploma was conceived, developed and registered by Christina Dean FAIM of Uniforte.

Ms Dean is a longstanding Fellow of the Institute with a passion for change management and the pivotal role it plays in productivity across all sectors.

The Diploma of Organisational Change Management is based on the work and experiences of 60 global academics and practitioners. It covers seven units of competency and turns theory into practical project-based change management.

The course equips participants for the role of change manager with responsibilities for delivering a project of change.

Participants will undertake learning in managing change as a project, managing a change management team and working with change partners. The course also covers establishing a delivery structure and performance framework for achieving change benefits and contributing to an organisation’s management practices, goals and results.

Participants will receive and apply the acclaimed RIMER Managing Successful Change Professional Edition Manual. The manual provides comprehensive and scalable change project tools and templates to ensure participant success in the program.

RIMER can be used to establish the organisation’s change management methodology to work alongside PRINCE2®, MSP® and PMBOK, complying with Australian Quality and Risk Standards and the Business Excellence Framework.

In 2011, the Diploma of Organisational Change Management will be delivered through AIM’s Public Training program and through in-house delivery for public and private sector organisations who are seeking competency in change management.
