Project Management Training BoomProject management has emerged as one of the most highly sought after training experiences for high achieving managers. AIM CEO, Carolyn Barker AM FAIM, said the diversity and number of people seeking project management training with AIM has grown dramatically over the past year. "Whatever industry or career background someone has, they will inevitably be requested to undertake projects,” Ms Barker said. “The Institute’s project management offerings have become highly sought after, particularly since we are so well known for the practicality and immediate application of course outcomes in the workplace.” AIM’s project management offerings are broad, with courses that provide foundation learning through to complete qualifications. “There is no doubt that booming industries like mining, property, construction and manufacturing are project focused work environments,” Ms Barker said. “However, we are beginning to see managers in other areas, such as education, professional service firms and small business, seeking skills upgrade in this area.” “This often brings the realisation that a qualification in project management is highly desirable.“ The understanding that seamless project management can drive and achieve strategic business outcomes is also finding its place in organisational culture. “Project managers often develop specialist skills on top of their core practice area which means they are ideally suited to move to more senior managerial positions,” Ms Barker said. “The rising stars in organisations are also ideal candidates for project management training. By their very nature, these rising stars often enjoy the ownership and influence that comes with managing a project from start to finish.” In addition to AIM’s face-to-face courses, AIM Online means learners can complete a project management qualification anywhere, anytime. “AIM Online brings new flexibility to up skilling in a specific subject area by allowing learners to complete a qualification via a fully supported and highly interactive online environment,” Ms Barker said. Participants can complete four courses online to achieve an accredited Certificate IV in Project Management:
