Project Management Training Boom

Project management has emerged as one of the most highly sought after training experiences for high achieving managers.

AIM CEO, Carolyn Barker AM FAIM, said the diversity and number of people seeking project management training with AIM has grown dramatically over the past year.

"Whatever industry or career background someone has, they will inevitably be requested to undertake projects,” Ms Barker said.

In addition to AIM’s face-to-face courses, AIM Online means learners can complete a project management qualification anywhere, anytime.

“AIM Online brings new flexibility to up skilling in a specific subject area by allowing learners to complete a qualification via a fully supported and highly interactive online environment,” Ms Barker said.

Participants can complete four courses online to achieve an accredited Certificate IV in Project Management:

• Project Management - Scope, Time, Quality and Cost Management
  
• Project Management - Human Resources and Communication Management
  
• Project Management - Risk Management
  
• Project Management - Procurement Management
  

From 6 October 2008, learners will also have the option to complete a bridging course to achieve the Diploma of Project Management via AIM Online.

The interest in project management has also led to AIM developing an Advanced Diploma in project management. The industry consultation element of the process has been completed and, subject to accreditation, this high level qualification will be offered in 2009.
