More AIM Training for 2008

This year the Australian Institute of Management has released an expanded regional training calendar cementing its commitment to regional access to management training for managers at multi levels.

AIM has a history of providing regional training through unique relationships with local Registered Training Organisationss and trainers, and now from 2008, regional learners will have direct access to a focused open program schedule tailored to regional learning needs.

The courses are drawn from AIM’s open program suite and cover topics in general management, communication, writing skills, negotiation and conflict resolution.

AIM facilitators are hand picked industry professionals, who are specialists in their subject matter.  Facilitators are sourced from a regional pool of talented people, many of whom live, work and travel extensively throughout regional Queensland.

AIM CEO, Carolyn Barker AM FAIM, said the Institute’s regional offerings meet the demand from local managers for quality learning opportunities and demonstrate the commitment by AIM to building management skills in regional Queensland.

“Regional members and stakeholders who are AIM’s ‘ear to the ground’ about local and regional needs,” Ms Barker said.

“So we’ve delivered what managers around Queensland have been asking for – a suite of highly practical short courses based on contemporary Australian content and delivered by facilitators who understand local business and industry.”

To ensure the courses are accessible to the wider community, AIM has priced regional courses to suit the market.

“We are strongly committed to delivering an ongoing regional program, so have priced in line with other local offerings,” Ms Barker said.

“This is about giving regional managers at all levels access to first rate training that is affordable and adds value back into their business.”

Courses are offered in Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, Gladstone, Mackay and Toowoomba with a selection of intakes throughout the 2008 calendar year.

A brief description of each course can be found inside this Regional Training Agenda which serves as a succinct, easy to use, ready-reference for individuals and organisation’s HR managers.

Regional Training Agenda is available online as a downloadable PDF or print on demand, making it accessible and convenient to use by anyone at anytime. To request your copies email courses@aimqld.com.au or phone 13 16 48.
