20 December 2006 Nominations Open for Queensland's Who's WhoIn 2007 Crown Content will be embarking on an exciting new publishing tradition, creating a series of state-focused publications to stand alongside Who’s Who in Australia. For 100 years Who’s Who in Australia has been recording the biographies of notable and prominent Australians. Colleagues and peers can now nominate a Queenslander of influence for inclusion in the State edition of Who’s Who to be published in May 2007. A wide range of organisations including the Queensland Arts Council and the Queensland Council of Unions have praised the Who’s Who in Queenslandconcept. The Right Honourable, The Lord Mayor of Brisbane, Councillor Campbell Newman has also added his support to the publication. He said, “From Brisbane in the south east to the Cape York Peninsula and beyond, Queensland is filled with people who are dedicated to making our state a great place to live. Who’s Who in Queensland is an outstanding opportunity to record the names and achievements of the people who have done so much for our great State.” Who’s Who in Queensland will be a permanent historical record and an ongoing tribute to Queenslanders from all backgrounds, ranging from prominent public figures to unsung community heroes. Nominations can be made at www.crowncontent.com.au. Nominations are then assessed by the Editorial Board, the book will celebrate and record your achievements, alongside other Queenslanders who have excelled in their field or contributed to Australia in a significant way.
