Postgraduate Study Induction

We understand that it is sometimes difficult or overwhelming to take up or return to study after a period of time.  For this reason AIM Graduate School has developed an incentive program for all new or returning students to refresh their Study Skills.

This complimentary workshop gives you a flying start and enables you to meet other students with whom you will be studying.

Content
The workshop will introduce you to or refresh the skills required to undertake studies at postgraduate level. These include:

• Wide reading in content areas
  
• Plagiarism and its consequences
• The academic grading system
• Guidelines on assessment submission
• Understanding and completing written and oral assessment tasks
• Presenting written assessment tasks
• Referencing academic work
• Searching for information in libraries and online databases
