Special Interest Networks (SPINs)

Special Interest Networks are short, sharp weeknight sessions that explore some aspect of leadership, management, HR, innovation or strategy. They feature practicing managers or specialists who have experiences to share to people in different stages of their management development.

A Special Interest Network emerges after feedback from the management community that there is a need to hear how others are conceptualising, practicing or dealing with an area of business. At the moment there are 6 Special Interest Group themes:

AIM actively searches for speakers who have knowledge, examples and real experiences to share in sessions which normally last between 6 and 8pm. Group sizes vary from 15 to 20 board room style to 80 to 100 lecture style.

Young Managers' Network

The AIM Young Managers' Network series is dedicated to providing a forum in which high-profile industry leaders, with relevant management experience, can offer practical and timely advice to young and emerging managers wanting to further their career. It is also an opportunity for young managers to meet on a bi-monthly basis to share their experiences and build strong networks across a range of industries.

Drinks and nibblies will be provided at each event

Women in Management - On Board to Board

The monthly Women in Management function ‘On Board to Board' is one of AIM's most popular events.

Each month attendees board the bus for a journey to the boardroom or workplace of a prominent Brisbane business woman and board member. The identity of each event's host is a closely guarded secret! Who will it be?

Capped at 30 attendees, On Board to Board provides a friendly, intimate environment for AIM personal members to network with fellow business women and their host. Book in advance for any (or all) of the On Board to Board events in 2008 to meet some of the most successful and influential women around.
