Moving Up the Management Ladder

Location: Brisbane
Date: Wednesday 15 February 2012
Event Series: Young Manager Series

The first instalment of the Young Manager Series for 2012 will feature a facilitated discussion and Q&A with Brisbane Broncos CEO, Paul White.

This interview-style event, with light breakfast, sees Paul asked a series of topical questions on his career journey, style and approach to leadership, and the success of his first year in the top job at the Broncos. Questions will also be encouraged and taken from the floor.

Discussion topics will include:

  • Fundamental elements to building a team or business for success
  • Measuring high performance and the winning formula
  • How a relationship-centric philosophy is key to successful organisations
  • The current structure and culture of the Broncos and its connection to high performance and success.

More and more young managers under 30 are seeking out professional networks and finding their way to AIM. The Young Manager Series provides a forum in which high-profile industry leaders, with relevant management experience, can offer practical and timely advice to young and emerging managers wanting to further their career.

Paul will draw on his own career experience – with Queensland Police, in the mining industry and as a rugby league coach – to illustrate the effectiveness of adopting a coaching culture and coaching as a development approach.

If you are a young manager, or someone interested in Paul's story and learnings, then join us for this engaging breakfast event..
