Throughout this year’s exlusive Fellow’s Briefing Series, senior members of the Institute have heard from the heads of multi-national companies in the ICT world who are on the bleeding edge of inculcating business and technology.
In this last instalment of the Fellow’s Briefing Series for 2008, network with Fellows and Associate Fellows and join Patrick Delaney, Executive Director – Sales and Product Development, FOXTEL, to gain insight into the rise of the digital economy, the implications of it, and how it is affecting Australian businesses.
In his address, Patrick will also talk about FOXTEL's billion dollar investment in subscription and digital television. He will elaborate on FOXTEL's product innovations including FOXTEL's digital launch, personal video recorder, FOXTEL IQ (which allows viewers to watch what they want, when they want), mobile television, high definition television and the FOXTEL IQ 2 box - which combines both broadband and broadcast technology.

Patrick Delany
In 2002, Patrick joined FOXTEL as Director of Digital and was in charge with creating the digital product and bringing the digital dream to fruition.
Now in is role as Executive Director – Sales and Product Development, Patrick is responsible for channel acquisition, product formulation and development, disk drive and high definition strategy, and interactive and facilities division. He is also responsible for FOXTEL’s sales division.
Patrick is currently looking at the next step in FOXTEL’s digital evolution including enhancements for the FOXTEL IQ and High Definition TV.
