Career transition coaching

Coaching can support you to reflect on current strengths and determine suitable options by identifying developmental needs and creating a strategic action plan.
A career transition coaching program typically begins with a survey to gauge your strengths and interests and to form the basis of an action plan. The survey results are discussed with your coach as you develop your plan. You might also choose to seek assistance with writing your resume and preparing for interviews.

A typical program includes a diagnostic instrument to determine strengths and appropriate roles for each individual and up to six coaching sessions. Costs for a career transition program range from $800 to $2,200.

Executive Coaching

At various points in any career, managers need assistance to improve existing skills, to resolve performance issues or to change behaviours and responses in complex situations. An executive coaching program can assist to identify changes that need to be made, isolate the strategies to reach identified goals and develop an action plan to achieve them.

Managers report that coaching programs assist to clarify goals and improve performance in areas as diverse as presentation skills, performance management discussions, stakeholder negotiations and reframing key relationships in the workplace.

A typical program consists of six sessions and at least one diagnostic survey such as a 360 degree feedback survey. Costs for an executive coaching program range from $2,000 to $4,400.

Pipeline Program

The results of the 2008 EOWA Australian Census of Women in Leadership (released by EOWA, 6 October 2010) showed that women represent only 4.1 per cent of line manager roles in ASX 200 companies. Line manager roles provide the experiences that women need to assume executive management roles and directorships.

AIM's Pipeline Program is a three part program for women that include a feedback survey, development workshops, coaching sessions, and the opportunity for mentoring. The aim of the program is to provide women with the support needed to set and achieve their aspirations and goals in relation to the skills and experiences required to move into executive management.
