Management Excellence Awards

The Management Excellence Awards recognise Queensland And Northern Territory managers for their vision and achievement, and to reward them for their management and leadership excellence.

It is one of the few awards that recognise the individual and his or her influence on the environment in which they work.

About the Awards

In 2008, the 19th Annual Management Excellence Awards will be celebrated, making this a program firmly cemented in Australian business culture.

The Awards have their origins deep in this country's regional management history, originating in Darwin eighteen years ago. The following year the Awards crossed the Territory border and were adopted in regional Queensland as provincial cities began to participate in the Awards, progressing to a cohesive, state-wide campaign in 1997.

This year the Management Excellence Awards will be run in eight regions of Queensland, and from the capital in the Northern Territory. Launched locally from February onwards, the Awards will culminate in State Final celebrations in October (Darwin) and in November (Brisbane) where the Managers of the Year are announced.
