Carolyn Barker AM FAIM
Chief Executive Officer

Ms Carolyn Barker is the Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Institute of Management - Qld & NT and a Director of TheCyberInstitute Pty Ltd, the Institute's international online learning company.

For six years Carolyn has been the Managing Editor of Management Today, Australia's only national specialist management magazine and Series Editor of the best selling Management Today book series.

Carolyn regularly advises corporations, CEOs and top teams on strategic planning, high performance leadership and change management projects. She also advises Boards, primarily in the not for profit sector, on corporate governance and modern leadership strategies.

Carolyn holds an undergraduate degree in Business and an MBA from the University of South Australia.

In 2005, Carolyn received a Member in the Order of Australia (AM) honour for service to business through management and educational organisations, and to the arts through The Queensland Orchestra.

She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and sits on the National Board of the Institute. She is Chairman of The Queensland Orchestra, a member of the Brisbane City Council City Business Advisory Board, a Director of TheCyberInstitute Pty Ltd and the Brisbane Powerhouse Pty Ltd.
